Learning and growing!
Imagine starting the day surrounded by open countryside, with horses and ponies nearby, goats to meet and plenty of space to get stuck into something practical. That’s Bill’s Place, Ad Astra’s sister site in Wheldrake;

and over the past few months, we’ve been working hard to make it a fantastic place for our learners to explore, learn and thrive.
There’s always something to discover. Learners can get involved with animal care, explore horticulture and take on the real jobs that help keep the site running. Every task is a chance to build useful skills, grow in confidence and experience the pride of seeing something through.

The ranch has been set up to give young people space to try new things, follow their interests and find their feet at their own pace. You might arrive unsure what to expect and leave with muddy boots, a new skill and a story to tell.
We’re incredibly proud of what Bill’s Place is becoming, and excited to welcome more learners into this unique setting. If you’re a young person, family or school looking for a provision where practical experiences and personal progress go hand in hand, get in touch with Ad Astra to find out more.
